PAROLE SUI MURI e le arti negli anni Sessanta tra Modena e Reggio Emilia. December 16 2018 - May 5 2019, Modena, Musei Civici, Free entrance. Presenting a wide selection of artworks from public and private collections and a very exciting staging, the exhibition by the Museo Civico d'Arte in collaboration with Fondazione Modena Arti Visive and Musei Civici of Reggio Emilia, shows a brand new cross-section of the lively artistic and cultural environment characterizing the two towns between 1962 and 1972.

In a background of a widespread welfare, lifestyle changing and disruptive society transformations culminating in 1968, the motley creative unrest is emerging in visual arts and theatre as well as in music, experimental poetry, design, architecture, graphics, comics and animation. The convergence between institutions and individual research reaches a remarkable moment in 1967-68 with the event “Parole sui muri" in Fiumalbo, first nationwide vanguard display with several Italian and foreign artists. The exhibit is accompanied by a scientific catalogue and a rich calendar of events and education activities.
